Concert of improvised music in a church in Angel. It was so silent, you could hear toes clicking inside boots. There were radiators hanging from the ceilings, and books on sale for 20p each. I got novels by Iris Murdoch and Donna Tartt.

At Gordon's Wine Bar, Embankment. He gave away balloons and little photocopied comics of jokes about Sarkozy which were all in French. Courteous he was.
