A thought

Well, not a thought, more of a rant.
But just as I hit the 32nd picture on my Olympus camera at a houseparty last weekend, I sort of passed out and my camera got stolen. Lifted from around my neck by a blurry thieving silhouette...
I'm just bemoaning the fact that I lost a perfectly good batch of pictures. Especially regarding the fact that I have been mostly holed up working these days, and not living a particularly picture-worthy life.
So, there. RIP my 32 unprocessed pictures (because my Olympus is certainly not dead, but probably mishandled by some prick from Shoreditch).
Amen.

My work at SLICK

The Running Horse gallery is currently showing my project Poses at the SLICK contemporary art fair, at the esplanade of the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée de l'Art Moderne in Paris.
I've just seen this little bit of press in the Madame Figaro online magazine which mentions me as "not to be missed". I am very very chuffed.

Translation:
SLICK celebrates its 5 years and launches Slick-Orient, a selection of galleries showcasing creations from the Levant: India, Pakistan, Philippines, Iran, Afghanistan... Among them, The Running Horse (Beirut) presents the work of the young Rasha Kahil, born in Lebanon and now based in London. In her photographs and videos, the demoiselle plays on the line between private and public spaces, often using her own body... Provocation?

Noemi Klein is an amazing London-based jewellery designer, with handmade pieces inspired by death and nature. We recently shot her new collection, which we're still in the process of editing. In the meantime, see her work on her website!

The Corridor to Success

Here are a few pics from The Composing Rooms' inaugural show in a pop-up gallery in Bloomsbury, with a view of my photographs.

Check out my publication "XI and la Gueule du Monde" peeking in the left top corner among the mags ;-)

And another portrait of the lovely Che Blomfield, who curated it all...

The Composing Rooms: last few days

It's the last few days of The Composing Rooms' inaugural exhibition, "The Corridor to Success", so go along and see it before it closes on October 13th. Better still, head down there on Wednesday evening for the closing party, with a DJ set and mad drinks...

Exhibition featuring works by Rasha Kahil, Thomas Jeppe, Paul Cowan and Daif King, as well as a selection of publications by X Marks the Bokship's Eleanor Brown.

42 Theobalds Road, Bloomsbury, London.
